I
am a junior doctor in Derby, having qualified from the University of
Nottingham Graduate Entry programme in 2008. I am interested in
psychiatry and particularly psychotic illness and forensic
psychiatry. I am also interested in healthcare for the deaf with
particular reference to mental health. I am studying towards
qualifications in British Sign Language.
Outside
of medicine I am interested in history, which was the subject of my
previous degree, and road safety. I have passed the advanced driving
test of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and observe drivers working
towards their own tests. I am working towards the advanced driving
test of Rospa Advanced Drivers and Riders.
I
have a huge interest in sketch and situation comedy and have co-written a
number of television and radio sitcom scripts with Matthew Wright, which
have generally been through to the stage of a full read with the BBC
Writers' Room. I enjoy watching comedy live and on TV as well as
continuing to work on new ideas.
If
you would like to get in touch about anything you find on my website then
please use the Contact page. My CV and sample comedy scripts are
available on request.

"If it's true I hope that I can see it's true, and if it's not true then I would rather be in a state of confusion than believe something that is consoling which isn't true. I don't want to trade in the truth for
illusion." RD Laing on faith.
